UCircle Children's & Teen Privacy / Guardian-Consent Addendum

UCircle is a real-identity community business network. This addendum explains our age requirements, how we treat younger users' privacy, and our approach to guardian consent.

1. Minimum age

UCircle is intended for users aged 16 and over. Users below 16 are not permitted to create an account at this time.

A program that would allow younger users to join with verified guardian consent is not enabled at launch. If we introduce it later, it will be governed by the additional protections described in §4 and a separate review, and this addendum will be updated.

2. We do not knowingly collect data from children below the minimum age

We do not direct UCircle to children below 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we learn that we have collected personal data from someone below 16 without the required consent, we will delete that data and close the account. 3. Teen users (minors at or above the minimum age)

Some permitted users are minors (under 18) who are at or above 16. Where a user is a minor, we apply privacy-protective treatment, including:

• Private by default, and non-overridable: a minor's network/visibility is private and cannot be made public.
• Limited discoverability: people are found by exact @handle only (no fuzzy people-search), reducing unsolicited contact.
• No behavioural advertising: we do not serve behavioural/targeted advertising to minors. (UCircle's own products are ad-free.)
• Data minimisation: we limit the data used for minors to what the Service needs.
• Youth-safe AI: the in-app assistant (AIER) is advisory only and non-medical, and operates under youth-safe constraints for minor users.

Identity, age, and guardianship are determined at the identity layer (Uniton ID); UCircle relies on those signals rather than re-determining them.

4. Guardian consent and protections (for any future younger-user program)

If a guardian-consented program for users below 16 is introduced, it will operate on these principles:

• Verified guardian consent is required before a younger user can join, via the identity layer.
• Identity, age, and guardianship are Core/Uniton-ID truth — UCircle does not own or re-implement them.
• Minors are private and non-overridable, with limited discoverability (exact-handle only).
• Anti-grooming rules: adults must never seek private or secret contact with a minor, request or send sexual content involving a minor, or attempt to isolate a minor from guardians or trusted adults; younger users' contacts may be guardian-approved.
• Guardian visibility and management are provided in a way that protects the minor without unnecessary over-surveillance.
• Youth-safe AI and data minimisation apply throughout.
• These build on the zero-tolerance protections in the Child Safety Standards & Anti-CSAE Policy.

5. What we never do with minors' data

We do not sell minors' personal data, do not use it for behavioural/targeted advertising, and do not expose minors through people-search or discovery beyond the limited exact-handle path.

6. Guardian rights and contact

A parent or guardian may contact us to ask about, access, or request deletion of a minor's data, or to raise a concern. Email info@ucircle.net (privacy) or info@ucircle.net (child-safety). We may verify the requester's relationship/authority before acting. Account and data deletion is described in the Account & Data Deletion Policy.

7. Reporting a child-safety concern

To report grooming, exploitation, or any content that sexualises or endangers a minor, use the in-app report option and see our Child Safety Standards & Anti-CSAE Policy. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. We escalate confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the relevant local authority.

8. Changes and contact
