UCircle Account & Data Deletion Policy

Effective date: 19 June 2026 · Last updated: 19 June 2026

You are in control of your UCircle account. You can delete your account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what is deleted, what may be retained, and how long it takes.

1. Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to delete your account:

  1. Open UCircle and go to Profile / Me.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

We ask you to confirm in two steps before anything is deleted, because the action is permanent.

2. If you can't open the app

If you can't sign in, you can still request deletion from the web:

  • Visit ucircle.net/deletion, or
  • Email info@ucircle.net from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account".

We may verify your identity (for example, confirming control of the registered email) before we process the request, to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.

3. What is deleted

When your deletion is processed, we delete or anonymise the data UCircle holds about you, including:

  • your profile (name, @handle, avatar, bio) and account settings;
  • your content — posts, messages you sent, media, and voice notes you uploaded;
  • your connections and relationship data, circle memberships, and your Customer-Lens / CRM entries that you own;
  • analytics identifiers tied to your account.

Note on shared conversations: messages you sent in group or circle conversations may have been received by others. We remove your account and your authorship/identifiers; copies already delivered to other participants' devices or conversations are handled consistently with how a participant leaving a conversation is treated.

4. What may be retained, and why

We may retain a limited amount of data for a limited time where we are legally required or permitted to, for example:

  • records needed for legal, tax, accounting, or transaction/dispute purposes;
  • information needed to prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms, or keep the Service and other users safe;
  • data we must preserve to comply with the law or a lawful request — including the preservation and reporting of child-safety (CSAE) evidence as required.

Retained data is kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and is then deleted or anonymised.

5. How long it takes

We process deletion requests within 30 days. After this period, your data is deleted or anonymised from our operational systems, except for the limited retained categories in §4. Backups are purged on our normal backup-rotation cycle.

6. Your Uniton identity (important)

UCircle uses a shared Uniton ID for sign-in (one identity across the Uniton ecosystem). Deleting your UCircle account removes your UCircle profile, content, and data as described above. Your underlying Uniton ID account is managed at the identity layer; if you also want to delete your Uniton ID (which may affect other connected Uniton services), use the deletion option there. We will tell you, in the in-app flow, what deleting your UCircle account does and does not remove, so your choice is informed.

7. This is permanent

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, your profile, content, and connections cannot be recovered, and your @handle may become available to others.

8. Contact

Questions about deletion or your data: info@ucircle.net (privacy matters: info@ucircle.net).
